So, we walked 5 km. You can see how jagged the coastline is.

Italy is really good at providing viewers with little slices of something really interesting beyond the foreground.
Below is a view looking directly into the harbor. We approached the town from the right. There is no train into town, so you either must walk, drive, or boat in. Our yacht was in the shop so we opted for the scenic route on foot! Our restaurant, the subject of the next blog, is under the bright blue awning on the left.
Italians do not build with 2x4s. Instead, they use construction bricks; these look a little like de-construction bricks!
I thought this window and shutters was very pretty.

The Idol below is without a doubt some very wealthy person's yacht, but its severe lines and battleship gray base made it look a little foreboding to us. No telling what this small ship cost!
Since they didn't offer us any champagne, we went back to S. Margherita Ligure!
