This is Manarola, the fourth town (counting from the west) in the series of Cinque Terre. We decided to have lunch at this restaurant that overlooked the sea. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get a seaside table, but as the sun began to descend, I was happy to be fully covered by the awning.
I ordered a squid-ink pasta. It was wonderful and tasted so sea-ful.
The waters off Manarola's coast fall into Zone B, la fascia di rispetto, or respect belt. Still, they are marvelous shades of blue and green.
We did not understand this sign.
