The Ashmolean

Having deposited our luggage at the concierge's desk before tea, we brazenly asked the concierge upon finishing our tea if we might leave our luggage in order to visit The Ashmolean. That is the nice thing about very good hotels, they are very accommodating, and gracious about it, too. We didn't have much time to spend at the museum, only about 20 minutes, but it did give us a chance to see some of the exhibits. Below is a reflexion of Eros against a funerary portrait from Fayum.

Actually, the timing was perfect. When the museum closed, we returned to The Randolph, collected our things and took a taxi to New College to meet Becky and James.
