Rambling about the Cotswolds: the rambling part

This is Becky and James's house in the Cotswolds. They live in a little town called Shipton-under-Wychwood. Below is an English country garden.

The English (and their dogs) like to go rambling about the countryside. It's very easy to do, too, because the routes are marked by well-worn paths. The best part is that there are no chiggers in England!

The picture below shows the rolling hillsides of the Cotswolds, and a few poppies, too. Not only did we get to see glorious landscapes as we rambled, we also saw huge expanses of sky.

There are gates to keep cows in their pastures, but these little doors made it easy for Tipsy to go from one pasture to the next.

It's a little harder for the humans! By the way, if we tried doing this back in the States, we'd be shot on sight!

I thought this mule was cute. We found him at the ruins of the Lovell Family Manor.
