Before and after
As we began our descent from The Crag, Bill spotted this bird. It just hung in the air without flapping its wings. Bill is pretty sure that it is a windhover, the kind that Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote about. Bill has several articles published on this very poem. Bill began to quote the poem and when he reached the last stanza, the bird just plummeted as if on cue.
