Happy hippos

Jonathan didn't know what a happy hippo was, so I decided it was time to educate my audience. A happy hippo is a children's cookie. I think they're actually made by a German company but you can find them here at most grocery checkout counters. As you can see, it's shaped like a hippo, hence the name. The cookie part is crisp like that of a sugar wafer back in the States. You can find happy hippos with either a cocoa or vanilla/hazelnut (I think) filling. I prefer the chocolate version. Anyway, this is a happy hippo, and for those of you familiar with this treat who are reading this blog back in the States, I have made you insanely jealous of my sojourn in Roma. Mi scusi ma buon appetito!
