The other morning I happened to spot little red cherries on our cherry tree. I realize that shouldn't come as a revelation, but in truth it does. You see, the birds like my cherries, too. The cardinals often reach the cherries before I even have a chance to notice them.
Today I plucked this perky cherry from the tree. Though it was a little on the tart side, it was edible. And it is (was) awfully cute.
