Viterbo: churches

From Romanesque to Baroque, Viterbo has lots of churches.






Santa Maria Nuova (the New Church, below) was Bill's favorite with its Romanesque architecture and spoglia as columns.  In 1266 Thomas Aquinas preached from the pulpit (according to Wikipedia).












I don't know what the name of the following church is, 
but the tower was picking up the rosy glow from the setting sun.
