One day Bill had to go into London to do some work at the British Library. One of his colleagues attending the NEH Institute recommended the Geffrye Museum to me. It was right up my alley.
You see, it was an alms house converted into a museum that specializes in the middle class living quarters over the centuries. Below are some of the rooms on display. In addition to rooms, I found samples of textiles, carpets, and chairs. This would have been the perfect field trip for my Interior Design class a few years ago.
As for the chairs in the above picture, I was actually considering them for the current job I'm working on. Outside there are a series of gardens also arranged in chronological order. It was a fun excursion.
