Here we are in the life-size replica of a submarine. This set was used for U-571 that included, among others, Mathew McConaghey. Bill is re-enacting his subway trips into NYC during his high school days. Apparently, he and his friends imagined they were in "Run Silent, Run Deep" and they even made sonar sounds in the subway cars!

Cinecitta' - Up periscope! or where men are just big boys

Cinecitta' - Fellini and other exhibits
This dress has very pointy darts in a
Puritan-meets-dominatrix kind of style.
Everyone has been wondering where all that salami goes after we've eaten it...there you have it, it goes to my right thigh and Bill's left leg!
I want this! I really, really want this!
I bet you want one, too!

Cinecitta' and its rationalist architecture.
Bill and I visited Cinecitta' last week. We walked half a block to the Cipro metro station and then took the metro directly to Cinecitta' on the outskirts of Roma. The trip couldn't have been easier. I enjoyed the architecture of the complex, perhaps as much as the exhibits, so here is a slew of pictures dedicated to the architecture.
I enjoyed the rationalist architecture.
You gotta love the relief of the Madonna and Child against
the stark exterior wall of the central building inside Cinecitta's courtyard!
And this was not the only building where this could be found!
